Kelarr is one of the youngest sons in his clan. As the eldest carries all the responsibility for the clan’s name and reputation, the younger ones are given more freedom, yet finding their own path is harder for them.

克拉尔是氏族中最小的儿子。与担负起氏族名誉与责任的长子不同，幼子往往有着更多自由，但这却又让他们更难找到人生目标。

As a clan where children are usually raised with the belief of glory in combat as a tradition, most of Kelarr’s kin do not greatly value preserving knowledge, but not all of them are warriors — those with scholarly ambitions usually become engineers or mathematicians. Kelarr, taking advantage of the fact that the clan didn't expect anything special of him, spent his childhood voraciously studying.

Years passed. Battles were fought and won, some of which Kelarr had earned his scars in — and yet it was his hunger for knowledge that had continuously defined him. Even though in the eyes of other members of his clan he hadn’t accomplished much, it mattered little to him as he found his pride in his discoveries rather than feats in battle.
