Too tired to flee, and worried by the moral decadence of their people, Raelag and his mentor Sorshan devise a plan to cement the Dark Elves as a nation. To do this, they intend to bring back the Invisible Library that was taken to Sheogh a century earlier. The first step of their audacious plan is to obtain the ashes of Queen Tuidhana, kept in a sacred Reliquary, in a territory controlled by the Unicorn Duchy.

Raelag holds the Ashes of Tuidhana. Now the council of the Faceless must meet as a whole in order to perform the ritual to locate the Tear of Asha. To reunite the Faceless, Raelag has no choice: he must answer the call of Malassa. This calling is a quest in and of itself: the first clan that is able to awaken the Black Dragons will earn the right to command them.

Using the Ashes of Tuidhana as a catalyst for their divinatory powers, the Faceless have located a special Tear of Asha; one powerful enough to bring the Invisible Library back from Sheogh. A portal through the Spirit World has brought Raelag and his forces as close as possible to the Tear. Now the Dark Elves only need to get their hands on the sacred relic.

The Invisible Library has been brought back from Sheogh. But before it can become the heart of the Dark Elf kingdom, it needs to be cleansed of the Demons who blacken its corridors.
